many people may say.... What does math have to do with music? the truth is it has a lot to do with it.

phythagoras was the first to notice what math and music had in common.
Phythagoras was a famous greek mathematician. He discovered that harmony was connected to ratios of whole numbers.
He discovered that pitch depended on the length of the string.
if you want a higher pitch you use a shorter string, and if you want a loweer pitch than you use a longer string.
math and music have a lot in common. if we didn't have math we wouldn't have music!
