Googol is 10 to the 100th power.
Googol is 1 followed by 100 zeros.
This is what googol looks like: 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, 000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.
Googol was invented by the 9 year old nephew of mathematician Edward Kasner.
His name was Milton Sirotta.
Later on, a mathematician created googolplex, which equals 10 to the power of googol, which is 1 followed by googol zeros.
The founders of Google, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, named their search site after googol.
THIS IS THE HISTORY OF THE NAME "GOOGLE":
In 1997, Larry Page braistormed names for sites with other Stanford graduate students.
One of the graduate students rearranged googol to "Google" and found out it was avialable.
That name "Google" has stuck ever scince then.
Google's headquarters is named GooglePlex.
